A Thank you Letter from a Valued Client

When we sold the home my family owned for 45 years, I chose to work with Mitra Hakimi. From the six different realtors I interviewed in person, I chose Mitra for the following reasons:

She is very knowledgable about the area where my home is located. This meant she could give me accurate information going forward in planning my listing.

2. Matchmaker

Since she has been active in the area for so long, she has an established client list and she knows their needs — kind of like a Matchmaker for real estate. On the first day the house went on the market, the first person she showed the house to made a serious offer — an offer we eventually accepted.

3. Realistic

Of all the realtors I interviewed, the feedback Mitra gave me was the most realistic and sobering. Rather than suggest I could be overly optimistic about the sale price, she was very realistic and even a little negative when compared to other realtors. In fact, of all the realtors I spoke to, the sale price that she anticipated was the lowest. However, this suited my line of thinking and how I wanted to proceed with positioning the house in the market. In other words, rather than try to snowball me and build false anticipation for a high sale price just to get the listing, she worked with me to build a sales plan and a roadmap to get the best possible price. In the end, we closed with a sale price that was higher than the listing price that I wanted.

4. Responsive

Mitra and her colleague/son Etan were highly responsive and thorough in their answers. As with any closing, there are a lot of variables and people involved. With Etan and Mitra, I never felt abandoned. For a first-time seller like me, with a lot of questions, their responsiveness was a source of assurance and support.

In selling a home, I learned that choosing the right realtor is perhaps the single most important decision. Creating a plan and then moving forward with that plan to screen offers and zero-in on the right deal takes a lot of business acumen and sensitivity. On top of which, there was a lot of emotion and sentiment connected with that home. Choosing to work with Mitra and Etan was, without a doubt, the right decision. I put a lot of research and thought into making this choice. Mitra and Etan were consistent in their approach and presence throughout. My sister and I are very thankful and appreciative of their hard work.
